We have a winner!

After countless hours of reading hundreds of contest entries and interviewing the finalists, we have selected a winner in our Lap-Band giveaway contest.

Congratulations to Bryan Ferguson of Lee's Summit, MO! An EMT, Bryan has dedicated his life to helping others, but feels that his weight has always hindered his career and makes him a burden to his coworkers. Bryan has struggled with his weight his entire life and has been considering weight-loss surgery for years, but it wasn't covered by his insurance. He says that his entire family is overweight, and he wants to break the cycle and set a positive example for his children.

Bryan is looking forward to being more active with his kids and also to being an advocate for weight-loss surgery. He wants to bring encouragement to others struggling with their weight and show them that it is possible to beat the battle of the bulge! We are excited to be able to help Bryan achieve his dream and start on the road to better health.

Selecting a winner was not an easy task. There were so many deserving contestants, and we were so inspired by all of the people who took the time to tell us their story.
