Hey Folks,
It's been an interesting month for weight and fitness since my last post. Work came swooping in and took up all my free time not leaving me much to balance for a personal life. The first things that I cut out are the extra things like Working Out...
I have a 10 cc band and only 3ccs in it. I had a fill scheduled, but had to cancel it due to a lack of time to fit it in. So I have to rely on food choices and exercise to keep from gaining and to hopefully lose some.
What I've tried to do is work my routine into my day, so that I still get the workout, but also get the things done that I need to. In the morning, I do my stretching and strength straining. This week, I have added time on the Jump Rope. 3 times a day... It's KILLING my calves, and I can't believe how far back I have fallen in my ability for cardio the last year. I'm hoping the added cardio will help get me into better shape and push the needle down...
Eating on the 3ccs of restriction is pretty much like eating without restriction. Occasionally, it decides to be more restricted. Mainly this happens earlier in the morning. I have to be really attentive to the restriction because I can feel it, but it is very easy to eat past it.
My weight has stayed pretty steadily at 257, and the needle has not moved. Frustrating for a month of no progress!
I am hopeful to get back in for a fill to get a little restriction.

About my Journey:
I made the decision to get the band when I weighed around 350lbs. I spent several years trying to find insurance to pay for it and dieting my way to 310lbs by Surgery day. I went Self Pay with Dr. "Rock Star" Malley in April of 2007. Within 2 years, I was hovering consistently around 220. Then in February 2011, I had all the fluid taken out of my band due to a complication. In less than a year, I gained 40 pounds back. I got my first fill after that of 3cc in late December 2011, and now I am working to get that 40lbs of weight off and hopefully more.
