Tell Me I'm Wrong! 5 Months ago
Folks can seem to be quite jaded with their bands after a long period of no movement. I may be "starting over" with fills, but I am far from jaded.

Again, I'm not 350lbs (my max weight). I'm not even 310lbs (my surgery weight). I can remember the last big diet push I had before the band, and the lowest I hit was around 180lbs. After having gained weight since my complete unfill/emptying last February, I weighed in at 160 this morning. Yes, a 40lb gain from my lowest with the band, but in 4 months I'll probably be right back down there. Then I'm only 60lbs from my ideal. (Yes, 4 months. It took me about 4-6 months to gain it. I expect it to take 4 months to lose it.)

To put that in perspective, I haven't weighed less than 220 in roughly 22 years. Since I had the band, I have been consistently around 220 to 240 for 2008, 2009, 2010, and the beginning of 2011.

No, I never got to my goal weight! Regardless of hitting the big goal weight, I have been *100% healthier* with lower cholesterol, less joint stress, and more self image than almost my entire adult life. Maybe not a complete destruction of the opposing team. However, even after all this time, I'm regrouping during half time, I'm ahead by all the measures that count, and I'm staying there.

I call that a Band Success.

Tell me I'm wrong, folks!
