Tracy "TracyinKS" and I are starting an unofficial lap band support group in Leavenworth. Anyone is welcome to attend whether you have a band or are interested in a band. And, just like Malley support group meetings, you're welcome to attend regardless of who your surgeon was or will be.

Our first meeting is planned for Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. If you're interested in attending this meeting or interested in attending in the future, please email me for more info.

Tracy has had her band for two years, and I have had mine for two months - so the range of experience and knowledge will be all inclusive.

This in no way replaces the Malley support group meetings, as Tracy and I both intend to continue attending those, but it's for additional support throughout the month and possibly more convenient for those who can't make it to the Overland Park meeting.

I was banded on March 16th, 2009 and I am also from St. Joe. It would be nice to be able to get together with some people from way up here! If either of you are interested in getting together in St. Joe sometime, I would be up for it.
