I am feeling a little lost. I would like to go to the support group, but feel really nervous to do so. Could anyone share their first month post-op experience with me? I haven't lost any weight and it feels like I haven't even had surgery.

Hey there, sorry for the delay in response. I highly encourage you to go to the support group meeting. It was a valuable part of my success in this process.

As far as not losing in the first month that is perfectly normal. I have heard some even gain in that month. Don't panic. This first 6 weeks is not about weight loss as much as we want it to be. It is all about letting your body heal. Weight loss is bonus and not the focus just yet.

One thing you might want to start planning is what are you going to do exercise wise? Do you have a game plan there yet?

I was banded on 12.23.2009 and now just started getting my energy back. I have my first fill scheduled for the 28th of january.

is there a schedule for the band-wagon?
I also was told I couldn't exercise until after the 28th. I'm so ready to start taking this weight off!

Bandwagon is the 2nd Saturday of every month. We meet at the New Hope facility. It is located just north of I435 on the east side of Nall.
