Re:Discouraged 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Remember that your first 6 weeks after surgery are not about losing weight. I know that is not what you want to hear. It certainly isn't what I wanted to hear right after surgery.

That being said, it is a good sign that you are able to eat. That should mean that your stomach has well healed and they can give a good fill when you go in for your appointment.

They are going to ask you how it is going when you go in to get the fill. Tell them you are eating and the amounts it takes to get your full. They need to know that to make sure you get the right amount in your fill.

Will things get better? Hopefully you will be able to tell a difference but it probably will not happen when you walk out of the office. The last thing they want to do is over fill you. They need to make sure and see how your body reacts.

For me, I really didn't feel anything different for the first 6-7 fills. I am an oddball I am sure. I did keep losing weight between the appoinments so the fills were having an impact even though i didn't think i could feel it.

Good luck on Monday with the fill. Make sure you are being 100% honest with the nurses and the Dr. about what you are eating and when. Also get ready for the question "are you still drinking while you are eating?".

Good Luck!
