Time off work 1 Year, 10 Months ago
I am not banded yet, but doing my requirements for insurance. I am trying to figure out about how much time I will need to take off after my surgery. I work 2 jobs... my first one is a desk job, my second is a CNA in a nursing home. I'm sure I will have to take off more time from the nursing home, but not sure how much more...can anyone give me an estimate... thanks so much!

i work at a desk job as well. I had surgery on a Tuesday and had to do the over night stay. Not sure if you will have to do that or get to do the new out patient process.

I went home on Wednesday and was able to go to an exhibit at Union station all day on Thursday. I took off that whole week but could have easily gone back to work on Thursday or Friday.

If you are lifting or moving things or people, that is going to be a different story. I don't remember what the rule was around lifting. Anyone else remember?
